A meeting of the "Healthy Lifestyle" Working Group was held to discuss the monitoring and evaluation results regarding the implementation of the measures planned for the first half of 2025 under the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026."
Chair of the Working Group and Deputy Minister of Health, Nadir Zeynalov, stated that during the reporting period, the implementing institutions had successfully continued the execution of the measures outlined in the Strategy.
Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Ramil Huseyn, emphasized that the efforts carried out within the framework of the Strategy play a significant role in achieving the goals set forth in the "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development."
Sevinc Jabbarova, Lead Advisor at the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of CAERC, presented the monitoring and evaluation report on the implementation of the targets set for the first half of 2025. She highlighted the results achieved under the “Promotion of a Healthy Lifestyle” objective, along with the identified challenges and relevant recommendations. Following the presentation, members of the Working Group delivered remarks on the report’s findings and shared their proposals.
It should be noted that, according to the Order of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 12, 2023, eight working groups were established to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures set out in the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026," and to coordinate the activities of relevant government bodies.
The "Healthy Lifestyle" Working Group includes representatives from the Ministry of Health and CAERC, as well as from the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Youth and Sports, and Science and Education; the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs; the Food Safety Agency; the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance; and the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB).
