Within the framework of the “Startup School 3” project, implemented by the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal — operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) — in collaboration with the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nevada, USA, online training sessions have commenced for the “Green and Digital Silk Road” international acceleration program.
On the first day of the training, the Executive Director of CAERC, Prof. Dr. Vusal Gasimli, delivered the opening speech. He highlighted the growing significance of green and digital technologies in the contemporary and future economy, emphasizing the increasing investment opportunities in these fields. Prof. Gasimli noted the supportive approaches of the “Startup School 3” platform for entrepreneurs and innovators and expressed high expectations for the “Green and Digital Silk Road” international acceleration program.
The inaugural training session, titled “Green Economy and Impact Startup Training”, was conducted by Gonca Kara, Project Manager at the “A8” Acceleration Center based in Malta.
The program brings together 126 startup teams from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and South Korea, and will run for two months.
It should be noted that the “Startup School 3” project has over 20 international partners, including the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nevada (USA), the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, OSTIM Technical University (Türkiye), as well as institutions from China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Estonia, Uzbekistan, and other countries. Nearly 30 local entities are also partnering in the project, among them the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the Economic Zones Development Agency, the Intellectual Property Agency, the State Employment Agency, the State Agency on Renewable Energy Sources, and the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education.
The primary goal of the “Green and Digital Silk Road” international acceleration program is to bring together startups operating in the fields of green energy and digitalization, and to support the development of innovative ideas in these areas.
