During January-May 2021, the export of Azerbaijan amounted to 8 billion US dollars, including non-oil export equal to 907.6 million US dollars. The non-oil export increased by 184 million US dollars or 25.4 percent compared to the same period in 2020.

In January-May 2021, raw cotton (108.6 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector. Gold (84.7 million US dollars) and tomatoes (87 million US dollars) shared second and third places.

In January-May 2021, the value of non-oil products exported to Russia amounted to 279.5 million US dollars, Turkey – 255 million US dollars, Switzerland – 91.1 million US dollars, Georgia – 69.1 million US dollars, and to the USA – 29.5 million US dollars.

In May 2021, exports of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.6 billion US dollars with 210.5 million US dollars in the non-oil sector. Non-oil export increased by 22 percent or 38 million US dollars compared to May 2020. In addition, the export of food products in the non-oil sector in 2021 amounted to 85.4 million US dollars, and non-food products - 125.1 million US dollars. In May of this year, Russia (91 million US dollars) topped the list of countries where the largest part of non-oil goods are exported. Turkey was second (38.7 million US dollars) and Switzerland was third (22.9 million US dollars).

In May 2021, raw cotton (44.7 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector. Gold (22.8 million US dollars) and potatoes (19.2 million US dollars) shared second and third places.

The Export Review provided a rating of exporting governmental and non-governmental organizations, engaged in the non-oil export, for January-May 2021.

The top ten companies in the ranking of non-governmental exporters in January-May 2021 are the following: MKT Industrial Commerce LLC, P-Agro LLC, Representation of Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku Steel Company LLC, Sun Food LLC, Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association LLC, Ram International Transportation and Trade LLC, Metal Trader LTD, Local Garden LLC, and Fruit city Group LLC.

The list of state-owned companies involved in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by the SOCAR Marketing and Economic Operations Department. Next on this list are SOCAR Polymer LLC, Azergold CJSC, Azeraluminium LLC, Azercotton Agricultural and Industrial Complex LLC, Azerenergy OJSC, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Azeripek LLC, Caspian Geo LLC, Azertutun Agricultural and Industrial Complex.

In January-May 2021, Azercosmos OJSC exported services (satellite telecommunication and optical services) worth 19.4 million US dollars to 29 countries of the world. Profit earned from the export of services amounted to 90 percent of the total profit of Azercosmos OJSC. In May 2021, Azercosmos OJSC exported services worth 2.5 million US dollars to 22 countries of the world. 

Top five countries for submission of export orders to the portal during January-May 2021 were the USA (5.1 million US dollars), United Kingdom (4.1 million US dollars), France (3.8 million US dollars), Malaysia (3.6 million US dollars), and UAE (727 thousand US dollars).

In January-May 2021, the Azexport.az portal received orders amounted to 194.3 million US dollars. In May 2021, the amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal was 30.1 million US dollars. In May 2021, the list of most ordered goods included raw cotton, chicken, tobacco, cottonseed, peas, fruit flavored milk, building materials, chicken eggs, tea, wine, pomegranate juice, vegetable oil, licorice root, sweets, medical leech, etc. It should be noted that from January 2017 to 31 May, 2021, the amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal from 145 countries of the world was 2 billion 390 million US dollars.

At the same time, according to the Export Review, during June 2021, the total cost of the non-oil export implemented through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 22 million US dollars. From 2017 to June 2021, the total amount of goods and products exported through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 575 million US dollars.
