The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has presented the preliminary figures for the Export Review for January. According to the report, Azerbaijan's non-oil and gas exports in January-December 2024 increased by 0.3 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 3.4 billion US dollars. During this period, food exports rose by 11.3 percent, reaching 1.03 billion US dollars.

Among the exported products over the twelve months of 2024, sugar and confectionery products made from sugar increased by 62.4 percent to reach 38.5 million US dollars. Cotton fiber grew by 45.2 percent to reach 178.2 million US dollars. Vegetable oils and fats rose by 32.8 percent, amounting to 28.9 million US dollars. Precious metals increased by 29.2 percent, totaling 215.3 million US dollars. Chemical industry products grew by 18.3 percent to reach 293.7 million US dollars. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 14.3 percent, reaching 68.8 million US dollars. Tea increased by 1.6 percent, amounting to 6 million US dollars. Ferrous metals rose by 1.9 percent to total 48.2 million US dollars. Aluminum and aluminum products grew by 1 percent to reach 197.2 million US dollars.

During the January-December 2024 period, exports of agricultural products increased by 2.8 percent, amounting to 789.4 million US dollars, while exports of agro-industrial products surged by 57.3 percent, reaching 316.1 million US dollars. Overall, the combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 14.1 percent to reach 1.11 billion US dollars.
