A memorandum of understanding was signed between Aykhan Qadashov, the head of the Azexport portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and Tradexter Global, a company based in Turkey, during a visit to Istanbul. According to the document, the two parties will cooperate in promoting Azerbaijani goods in the Turkish market.

Aykhan Kadashov emphasized the significance of the Turkish market for the diversification of Azerbaijani products: “Turkey attracts over 55 million foreign tourists annually, making it a key market for expanding our reach. Among these visitors are representatives of large international wholesale networks, potential customers for Azerbaijani goods, and businessmen seeking new products. Therefore, a broader presence in Turkey is crucial not only for strengthening trade relations between the Turkic States but also for enhancing the international recognition of Azerbaijani products.”

Güçlü Ilalmak, CEO of Tradexter Global, added that Azerbaijani-made products are well-suited for the Turkish market: “We share common historical roots, customs, and traditions, and our tastes and food preferences align closely. Our company will collaborate with local firms to introduce Azerbaijani goods to the Turkish market, both through physical stores and e-commerce platforms. We have already reviewed the catalogs of Azerbaijani products available on the Azexport portal. Currently, we are in the process of selecting products and engaging with companies. We are confident that our cooperation will be successful.”

It should be noted that entrepreneurs wishing to showcase their products on e-commerce platforms and in market networks in Turkey can apply through the Azexport portal. There are no fees or commissions for the services provided by the portal.
