The "azexport.az" portal, operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), has issued a Certificate of Free Sale for the export of confectionery products from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to Ethiopia.

Aykhan Gadashov, head of the portal, stated that there has recently been an increase in the number of applications for free sale certificates, primarily related to the export of food products. The number of companies requesting this certificate in international markets is rapidly growing. The next certificates issued by the "Azexport" portal are intended for the export of confectionery products produced in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to Ethiopia. Previously, a free sale certificate was issued for the export of flour products to that market.

The free sale certificate is issued by the "Azexport" portal in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated September 12, 2017. This certificate confirms that the exported goods are in free circulation within the Republic of Azerbaijan, have been certified by the relevant state bodies and institutions, and comply with the required standards.

From April 2018 to November 2024, a total of 746 products have been issued free sale certificates. The issuance of these certificates has facilitated the export of "Made in Azerbaijan" products to more than 100 countries across America, Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Gulf region, where there were previously obstacles to exporting.

Entrepreneurs who wish to obtain a free sale certificate can apply through the portal at www.azexport.az.
