The Center for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee organized international forum entitled “Ensuring Information Security in the Digital Economy”.

Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Gasimli was a moderator of the first session of the forum. The session discussed the significance of the information security in digital economy. Forum participants learned about the experience of Azerbaijan in implementation of strategic roadmaps and state programs in this field, as well as a new concept of digital transformation. At the same time, they were informed about state policy on ensuring information security through e-government, e-education, e-healthcare, e-agriculture, digital executive power, Azexport, Digital Trade Hub, and critical infrastructure projects. The participants also discussed the regulatory framework, technical solutions and economic and financial issues in the field of cyber security. The forum was attended by Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev, heads of ministries and think tanks of more than 10 countries.
