A meeting of the Working Group on "Economic Growth" was held via video conference to discuss the implementation of the "Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026," focusing on the goals set for 2024 in the first half of the year.

At the meeting, Samad Bashirli, the chairman of the working group, Deputy Minister of Economy underscored the significance of the measures implemented under the strategy in achieving sustainable and competitive economic development.

Ayaz Museyibov, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, highlighted the status of the implementation of measures within the working group's activities.

Orkhan Sadigov, Deputy Chairman of the working group and Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, presented the results of monitoring and evaluation concerning the achievement of the goals outlined in the Strategy for the first six months of this year, as well as the main challenges and recommendations.

The report was discussed with members of the working group and representatives of relevant state institutions. Opinions and suggestions were heard, recommendations were made to enhance the effectiveness of implementation, and the next steps were determined.

In addition to the Ministry of Economy and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the "Economic Growth" Working Group includes representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Digital Development and Transport, Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, Labor and Social Protection, Justice, Science and Education, Energy, Health, Culture, and Ecology and Natural Resources, as well as the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Additionally, the group includes representatives from the Central Bank, State Statistics Committee, State Customs Committee, State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovation under the President, State Tourism Agency, State Water Resources Agency, Food Safety Agency, State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, Intellectual Property Agency, National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Azerbaijan Investment Holding, Azerbaijan State Agency of Motor Roads, Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, Azerbaijan Airlines, Azerbaijan Railways, Caspian Sea Shipping Company, Baku International Sea Trade Port, as well as heads of relevant departments and units of "Azerenerji" CJSC and representatives of the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority.
