“Azexport” portal, which is the operator of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, held meetings with importers and manufacturers in the Federal Republic of Germany. Aykhan Gadashov, Head of the portal, said that the purpose of the visit was to expand the representation of Azerbaijani-made goods in the European Union (EU) countries: “for this purpose, we met with representatives of more than 20 manufacturers and importers in Germany and got acquainted with the production process on the spot. On-site acquaintance with operations has become a successful experience for a closer study of the existing standards for packaging, labeling, logistics and certification for EU countries. A close study of these standards will provide us with significant support for further expansion of exports from Azerbaijan to the EU countries at the next stage. Just as we successfully applied it last year in expanding exports to the United States of America (USA).”

Preliminary results and agreements have already been reached at the meetings. Thus, it was agreed with the founder of the company “Felicitas Chocolatier”, which is represented in the class of high quality with the production of confectionery products in Germany, to add hazelnut products of Azerbaijani production to the supply chain. At the same time, the head of” Azexport “portal and the founder of” Global Expert " agreed on joint cooperation in Logistics, Customs and other formalities in expanding the export of Azerbaijani products to the territory of the EU countries. Also, as a result of the meeting with entrepreneurs in the wholesale sales network “Grosmark Berlin", a decision was made to export canned and farash fruit and vegetable products of Azerbaijani production and to distribute them to the local market through this network.

A. Gadashov noted that as a result of a similar visit to the United States of America last year, an agreement was reached on the export of confectionery products, canned foods, fruit juices and other food products from Azerbaijan to more than 20 states of the United States and a wider representation of Azerbaijani products was realized in this country. The Portal also provides for the application of this practice for EU countries.
