Vusala Jafarova, head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC) under the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, held a meeting with Furkan Derendel, judge of the Ministry of Justice of Turkiye, Salih Hakan Kasalak, candidate for judge, Ahmet Tokat, researcher at Istanbul University, and Burak Dülger, legal adviser of the General Secretariat of TURKSOY.

During the meeting, the legal and institutional framework in the field of investment, the current state, and the future of investment arbitration in the region were discussed, focusing on accelerating economic integration and increasing investment flows among the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

V. Jafarova proposed the creation of a unified investment arbitration framework for Turkic states. The parties discussed the initiative of preparing the Investment Arbitration Evaluation Report covering the Turkic states. The report aims to serve as an important decision-making tool, conduct a comprehensive analysis of existing arbitration mechanisms, and offer recommendations to improve efficiency, fairness, and investor confidence. Aligning investment arbitration practices with international standards will also provide a more predictable and secure environment for foreign investors.

In the end, Vusala Jafarova presented the book "Turkic States Economy," prepared together with think tanks of OTS countries, to the guests.
