According to the April issue of the "Export Review" prepared by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Azerbaijan's total exports amounted to 6 billion US dollars during the first quarter of 2024, with exports in the non-oil sector reaching 673.7 million US dollars. Specifically, exports of food products totaled 195.3 million US dollars during January-March 2024.

Throughout the first quarter of 2024, there were significant increases in various sectors. Cotton exports increased by 47%, fruits and vegetables by 15.3%, vegetable and animal fats and oils by 7.2%, and organic chemical compounds by 2.1%.

The joint export value of agricultural and agro-industrial products saw a notable increase of 17.8% during the first quarter of 2024, amounting to 210.7 million US dollars. Additionally, the value of agro-industrial products, an essential component of non-oil/gas exports, rose by 7.8% to 58.8 million US dollars.

In terms of non-oil sector exports from January to March 2024, cotton seed (56.5 million US dollars) ranked first, followed by tomato (45 million US dollars) and electricity (40.6 million US dollars).

During the same period, non-oil sector exports amounted to 218.7 million US dollars in March 2024, with food product exports reaching 58.2 million US dollars, showing an increase of 11.5%. Non-food product exports totaled 160.5 million US dollars.

In March 2024, the Russian Federation (71.1 million US dollars) topped the list of countries exporting the most non-oil sector goods, followed by Turkey (53 million US dollars) and Georgia (16.9 million US dollars).

In the list of non-oil exported goods for March 2024, cotton seed (22.9 million US dollars) ranked first, followed by tomato (15 million US dollars) and preformed polypropylene (12 million US dollars).

The "Export Overview" indicated that non-oil exports through the "One Window" Export Support Center reached 38.8 million US dollars in April 2024.

In the top ten non-state exporting subjects for January-March 2024, the following companies were represented: "MKT Ishtishlat Kommersiya" LLC, "P-Agro" LLC, Muradova Sahiba Salimat gizi, "My Fruit" LLC, "Technopack" LLC, “Mors Trading” LLC, “Baku Steel Company” JSC, “Soil Boons” LLC, “Khan-El” LLC, and “Atena” LLC.

Among state-owned companies participating in non-oil sector exports, SOCAR's Marketing and Economic Operations Department led the list, followed by "SOCAR Polymer" LLC, "Azerenergy" ATSC, "Azeraluminium" LLC, "AzerGold" LLC, "Azerpambig Agrarian Industrial Complex" LLC, "Azerbaijan Airlines" LLC, "Azeripek" LLC, Nakhchivan MR State Energy Service LLC, and "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC.

In January-March 2024, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerkosmos) exported satellite telecommunication services worth 4.7 million US dollars to 47 countries worldwide, representing 78% of its total income. In March 2024, "Azerkosmos" exported services worth 1.7 million US dollars to 43 countries.

Among the top five countries importing satellite telecommunication services during January-March 2024 were the United Kingdom (1.5 million US dollars), Luxembourg (966.8 thousand US dollars), the UAE (339.8 thousand US dollars), Pakistan (208.6 thousand US dollars), and Germany (197.4 thousand US dollars).

In January-March 2024, transactions worth 545.9 million manats and 173.7 million manats were conducted with payment cards issued by other non-resident financial institutions within the payment service network of banks.
