The World Bank will support fiscal reforms in Azerbaijan
A meeting has been held between Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), and Ian Hawkesworth, Senior specialist on management and head of the task group , Robin Van Kippersluis, Senior Specialist on state management, Benedikt Brauman, expert and economist Samira Gasimova.
Discussions on “Capacity Building Program of Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF CBP) in Azerbaijan” were held at the meeting.
V.Gasimli informed the guests about the launch of the Strategic Road Map as one of the target indicators for the implementation of the medium-term expenditure framework in Azerbaijan, the laws and fiscal rules adopted to ensure fiscal sustainability. He also spoke about the role of the Center in this area, its activities, the contribution of the monitoring and evaluation ecosystem to strategic planning, as well as the importance of communication in these processes and the work done in capacity building.
During the meeting, Hawkesworth stressed the importance of the medium-term expenditure framework in the management of economic reforms, ensuring the implementation process and the implementation of strategic management. At the end, the guests were presented reviews of the Center's activities.
